Augustin Wilson was born in Virginia in 1755. During the American Revolution, he served with North Carolina troops protecting South Carolina against Tories and Indians and as an Ensign at the 1779 Battle of Brier Creek, Georgia. He moved to South Carolina before 1820, where he died in 1848.
