In Malone, Wisconsin, this local history museum preserves the story of immigrant settlement in Wisconsin’s Holyland region and the farming communities that shaped it. Operating since 2005 and affiliated with the Wisconsin Historical Society, it occupies two former co-op buildings, including Malone’s original train depot, moved in early 2005 to save it from demolition. The depot interprets the Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Railroad, holds a piece of original rail found nearby, and is the last surviving depot from that line. Its collections also include farming artifacts, documents, and photographs from Malone and neighboring communities.
