Preston High School opened in 1992 after the consolidation of Bruceton High, Central Preston High, East Preston High, and West Preston High. It was built on the site of the existing vocational and academic center. At first, the school enrolled only grades 10-12 until 9th grade was added in the fall of 1998. From 2007-2015, Preston High School also housed Central Preston Middle School. Its school colors are black and silver, and its mascot is the Knight.
