In East Islip, on the grounds of Pineacres, the estate of Percy Williams (1857-1923), stood this wood structure. Williams was a medicine man, comedy star, land developer, vaudeville theater owner, and philanthropist. Pineacres comprised 48 wooded acres on the shoreline of Champlain’s Creek, with a large, tutor style main house and many smaller buildings on the property, including this one, which had various uses.
