Built by druggist Thorton B. Myers, the T.B. Myers Building stood at the northwest corner of the downtown square, where his drug store remained until 1900, when he sold it to J.B. Davis. Other businesses later operating there included Flint Dee's store in 1913, Surety Investment Company in 1918, and Tony's Tavern in the 1940s. By 1922, additional space had been added on the building's north end, and in 1925 Joseph Simanek opened Sunshine Tire and Battery Service there, advertising, "Silvertowns on your wheels, ethyl in your tank, plus our service, will take you there and bring you back." The building and the water supply standpipe seen in the background were owned by the city, and the standpipe was razed in 1934.
