Cahuilla Mountain Wilderness is a federally designated wilderness area in Riverside County, Southern California, encompassing 5,575 acres within the San Bernardino National Forest. It preserves the slopes and summit of Cahuilla Mountain, which reaches 5,604 feet, along with a relatively undeveloped mountain landscape and its habitats. A trail to the summit passes through chaparral and groves of live oak and Jeffrey pine, and from the top there are views toward the nearby Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail. Wildlife in the area includes mountain lion, mountain quail, California quail, and the rare red diamond rattlesnake.
