Baker Creek State Park is a South Carolina park on the shore of Lake Thurmond near McCormick, occupying land leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1967. Closely connected to the reservoir beside it, the park is oriented around outdoor recreation. Its facilities include two campgrounds, picnic shelters, a lakefront pavilion, and boat ramps for lake access. A nature trail provides opportunities to see deer, waterfowl, and wild turkeys, and a 10-mile trail supports both hiking and mountain biking. It remains known in western South Carolina for camping, boating, and trail use.
