Built in 1927 as the Ocean Springs Public School, this building was designed by William Nolan and includes panels painted by artist Walter Anderson. In 1998, it was renamed for Mary C. O'Keefe (1893-1980), Mississippi's first female school superintendent, who served from 1929 to 1945.
