Near Julesburg are DePoorter Lake off U.S. 385 just south of town, with fishing, picnic tables, restrooms, and a wheelchair accessible pathway around the lake; the newly restored Hippodrome Theatre, originally built in 1919 and again providing films and other entertainment; the Depot Museum, a relocated and remodeled Union Pacific Depot showcasing Indian artifacts, relics from the four Julesburgs, and other historic items; the Fort Sedgwick Museum with pioneer and military collections; the Old Ford Garage with photographs of early Julesburg, restored gasoline pumps, old automobiles, and other local memorabilia; Meline Swimming Pool Park with playground equipment year-round and swimming, picnic tables, and restrooms in summer; Railroad Park with picnic tables, a gazebo, playground equipment, and views of passing trains; Thompson Park with picnic tables and a rock garden; and the Sedgwick County Golf Course, a nine-hole public course three miles north of Julesburg on Highway 11.
