Cornelius Hagerman Forman was born on July 15, 1828, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, and died on March 13, 1923, in Forman, Sargent County, North Dakota. He founded the City of Forman, North Dakota, and donated the land associated with this remembrance. It was dedicated on 23 June 1984 in celebration of the centennial anniversary of the City of Forman.
