Laveaga Peak
Nature
Laveaga Peak stands in California’s Diablo Range on the boundary between Merced and San Benito counties. Rising 3,804 feet, it is the highest point in Merced County. Although not especially tall by California standards, it is high enough to receive some winter snowfall. Its importance lies chiefly in its location within the range and in its distinction as the county’s highest summit.
