Fishhawk Falls is a 72-foot waterfall on Fishhawk Creek in northwestern Oregon, between Jewell and Astoria near Highway 202. About a mile from the Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area, it is the main attraction at the Lee Wooden Fishhawk Falls trailhead and recreation site. The falls descend in a single broad cascade over an exposed wall of stacked basalt columns, creating a dike composed like Columbia River basalt. This rock belongs to a basalt flow comparable to those at Otter Rock and Hug Point and connected to one of the longest known flows on earth, extending roughly 300 miles from eastern Oregon and Washington.
