The Ferris Site is an archaeological site in Clermont County, Ohio, along the Ohio River on about three acres beside an intermittent stream. Excavated in 1970 by University of Cincinnati archaeologists, it yielded a substantial collection of stone tools, including blanks, blades, and knives. Study of these artifacts showed that the site was occupied during the Early Archaic period, making it an unusual and important place in southern Ohio. Its importance received formal recognition in 1974, when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as one of nine archaeological sites in the county listed there.
