Landis Mill Covered Bridge, officially the Little Conestoga #1 Bridge, was built in 1873 by Lancaster County bridge builder Elias McMellen over Little Conestoga Creek near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Constructed for a short crossing, it uses multiple kingpost trusses reinforced with double pyramidal-shaped Burr-type trusses and steel hanger rods, a combination unique in Lancaster County. At 53 feet long with a 41-foot span, it is the county’s shortest covered bridge. Painted red with white-trimmed portals, it survives as a rare piece of 19th-century rural infrastructure amid modern development and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
