Lt. Gen. Robert M. Bond died in service to his country. He flew the F-105 Thunderchief as both a test pilot and a combat pilot, and as vice-commander of Air Force Systems Command he remained mindful of the importance of simulated flight testing and made many important contributions to this center and its people.
