Quail Hollow State Park, now managed as Quail Hollow Park, opened to the public in 1975 on 703 acres in northeastern Ohio after a long history as Native homeland, family farm, hunting camp, and country estate. The Lenape were the last Native people to live there before displacement, and Conrad Brumbaugh became the first recorded permanent settler in 1820. After Harry Bartlett Stewart bought the property in 1914, the Stewart family transformed it into Minnie Taylor Farm and later a manor estate. Sold to Ohio in 1975, it later joined the Stark Parks system in 2016 and remains a year-round recreation area with notable glacial, wetland, prairie, and forest habitats.
