The Christian Church was built in 1891 by Gen. William T. Withers. He died before construction was completed, and Mrs. Withers finished it in her husband's honor. The land was donated by Cpt. Sims. The church is Gothic architecture, and its stained glass memorial windows came into Ocoee on ox-cart after being brought from Belgium to Sanford, FL. by ship. It is the oldest Christian Church building in continual use in Florida.
