Fall Creek Falls, near Spencer in Fall Creek Falls State Park, is a 256-foot waterfall that drops in a sheer plunge into a gorge. It is recognized as the tallest waterfall of its kind east of the Mississippi River in the United States. A short trail descends from the plateau parking area to the base, where visitors can reach the plunge pool. When water flow is high, nearby Coon Creek Falls also empties into the same pool, creating a striking scene of two cascades meeting in one gorge.
