The First Presbyterian Church of New Buffalo in Dakota Territory was organized in 1880 and built its first church in 1886. A new church was built on the same site in 1928. The Tudor-style building was designed by architect William Kurke, who also contributed to the design of the North Dakota state capitol building in Bismarck.
