Lead Hill is a 1,744-foot mountain in the Ozarks of southern Missouri, in southwestern Wright County, east of Cedar Gap and west of Mansfield. An erosional remnant, it marks the meeting point of three distinct Ozark regions: the Springfield Plateau, the Salem Plateau, and the White River Hills. It also lies on a drainage divide separating the Gasconade River basin, part of the Missouri River watershed, from Bryant Creek, which flows toward the White River. Though its name comes from a short-lived lead mine in the 1870s, Lead Hill is chiefly significant as a geographic landmark that helps define the surrounding landscape and watersheds.
