Caesar, an African, died on February 7th, 1806, at the age of 104. For more than half a century he was a worthy member of the church in this place, and he ended his life in the confidence of a Christian. His numerous friends honored his eminent virtues and piety with this tribute, which also expresses the belief that at the last trumpet, when the dead arise and every hope but Christ fails mankind, Caesar will rise to dwell forever in his Savior’s smile.
