Major General Harry H. Bandholtz, who lived from 1864 to 1925, graduated from West Point, served in the Spanish-American War, was governor of Tayabas Province in the P. I., chief of the Philippine Constabulary, served in the A. E. F. as chief of staff of the 277th Division, commanded the 58th Brigade of the 29th Division, served as Provost Marshal General, and was the American representative to the Inter-Allied Military mission to Hungary.
