Meridian Peak is a 10,466-foot mountain in the Absaroka Range of southern Montana within Yellowstone National Park. Located in Park County, it rises in the rugged volcanic high country along the park’s northeastern mountains, part of one of Yellowstone’s most dramatic landscapes. The peak has also been recorded as Meridan Peak, which the United States Geological Survey identifies as a misspelling. Although little additional historical context is available, the mountain is significant as a named feature of the Absarokas and as part of Yellowstone’s striking northeastern high country.
