Memorial Lake State Park is a 230-acre Pennsylvania state park in East Hanover Township near Harrisburg, enclosed by the Fort Indiantown Gap Military Reservation and centered on the 85-acre Memorial Lake. Established in 1945 as a memorial to Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers who served in World War I and World War II, it combines commemorative purpose with recreation and is closely tied to the nearby military headquarters. The park is used for hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and especially fishing. Memorial Lake is managed as a warm-water fishery, and boat launches and rentals support use of the lake under Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission regulations.
