Lake Lowell was built in 1906-1908 as a reservoir with a capacity of 190,000 acre feet, a crest length of 7,200 feet, and a dam height of 40 feet. Its stone parapet wall was constructed by the CCC in 1936, rebuilt by the Marsing JCCC in 1975, and it is operated by the Boise Project Board of Control.
