Opened in 2005 in Beachwood near Cleveland, the Maltz Museum is a private nonprofit institution devoted to the history of Jewish life in Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio and to broader themes of tolerance, remembrance, and civic understanding. Co-founded with Milton Maltz, it features Jerusalem gold limestone on its exterior and offers permanent exhibitions, rotating shows, and public programs. Its exhibits trace Jewish families in the region, present ritual objects and fine art, and explore subjects such as the Holocaust, prejudice, identity, and culture. Through survivor testimony, school outreach, Stop the Hate, and public dialogue programs, it serves as both educational center and civic forum.
