“Wye Plantation”

Wye Plantation was the home of William Paca, signer of the Declaration of Independence and twice Governor of Maryland. He was born at Chilbury Hall, Harford County, in 1740, and he died in 1799 and lies buried here. The unusual house probably dates to about 1740.
