Cecil D. Andrus Wildlife Management Area is a protected conservation area in western Idaho covering 23,908 acres along Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake River near the Oregon border. Established in 1993 after the Mellon Foundation purchased the Hillman Ranch and transferred it to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, it later expanded with additional land from the Idaho Department of Lands, Payette National Forest, and the Bureau of Land Management. Named for Cecil D. Andrus, a former U.S. Secretary of the Interior and four-time Idaho governor, the area protects habitat for mule deer, elk, bighorn sheep, golden eagles, and other wildlife.
