Between 1925 and 1930, Roddis Line – Nelson Camp 1 used a large, heavy cable from a pulley system called a jammer to load logs from the landing into rail cars. Stove parts, railroad ties, a wash tub, and glass bottles indicate a long-term camp with railroad connections. The artifacts at the site have no monetary value, but they contain valuable information that helps archaeologists interpret the camp and its use.
