A white pine log, estimated to be 500 to 600 years old, was cut on State 40 fourteen miles east of Glidden and sleigh hauled to Glidden on Dec. 21, 1984, on the sleigh it sits on. Its estimated weight is 7000 pounds, and the 20-foot log scaled 1960 board feet.
