Balsam Mountain is a peak in New York’s Catskill Mountains, located south-southwest of Pine Hill. It was formerly known as Sheril Mountain. In this part of the Catskills, Mount Sherrill lies to the east-southeast and Halcott Mountain to the west-southwest, placing Balsam Mountain within a closely grouped cluster of peaks in the range.
