The William L. Derr Community Swimming Pool was named in honor of William L. Derr for his service to the community through his dedication as pool manager from 1957 through 1971 and as Treasurer from 1957 through 1989 by the Myerstown Borough Council. Building of the pool was sponsored by the Myerstown Lions Club in 1957.
