Tyrol Basin is a ski and snowboard area in the town of Vermont, Wisconsin, near Mount Horeb, serving the Madison area with terrain for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert levels. With 22 runs and a 300-foot vertical drop, it fits the typical scale of a Midwest ski area. In 2019, it expanded its winter attractions by adding snow tubing and a new bar and concession building. It continues to draw regional skiers and snowboarders from nearby Madison.
