Brigham County Park is a 232-acre park near Blue Mounds in western Dane County, combining camping, recreation space, and trail access around East Blue Mound. Its amenities include 25 campsites, nature and snowshoe trails, picnic and play areas, and volleyball and horseshoe courts, while a 1.5-mile bicycle trail connects it to the Military Ridge State Trail. East Blue Mound, at 1,489 feet, is the highest point in Dane County and, together with nearby Blue Mound, gave the village its name. The park honors Ebenezer Brigham, Dane County’s first permanent European resident, whose family donated land that helped create both this park and nearby Blue Mound State Park.
