Nature
Kelly Mountain is an 8,826-foot peak in the Smoky Mountains of central Idaho, in Blaine County along the boundary between Sawtooth National Forest and nearby Bureau of Land Management land. Its slopes lie within the watersheds of Elk, Kelly, and Wolftone creeks, which all drain toward the Big Wood River. About 5.8 miles southeast of Buttercup Mountain, it stands as a notably remote summit. Despite its elevation, no roads or trails reach the top, underscoring its isolated character within this mountainous landscape.
