Chester H. Wilson served in the U.S. Army during World War Two with the 83rd Infantry Division and was honored for long service with the American Legion Marion Post number 179 for more than sixty years, lifetime membership in the VFW, DAV, and Military Order of the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, nineteen or more years as a Clinton County Service Commissioner, and distinction as the first nominee for Blanchester Citizen of the Year.
