McCafferty Road Covered Bridge stands in the unincorporated community of Vera Cruz, Ohio, carrying McCafferty Road over the East Fork of the Little Miami River. Built in 1877 by the Smith Bridge Company, it is unusual among covered bridges for being unpainted rather than red or white. Its importance rests in its survival as a nineteenth-century bridge that has continued to serve its original transportation function, remaining open to traffic in 2021.
