Heavens Peak is an 8,991-foot mountain in Glacier National Park's Livingston Range in Montana, just over a mile north of McPartland Mountain. Its descriptive name first appeared on a map prepared by Lt. George P. Ahern from reconnaissance mapping conducted between 1888 and 1890, and it was officially adopted in 1929 by the United States Board on Geographic Names. Like other mountains in the park, it consists of sedimentary rock from the Precambrian to the Jurassic. Its form reflects the Lewis Overthrust, when a massive slab of older rock was pushed over younger Cretaceous rock beginning around 170 million years ago, in a harsh alpine subarctic climate.
