Ashland Bridge is an original Town lattice truss covered bridge dating to about 1850. Its bridge deck was rehabilitated in 1964, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, a complete rehabilitation with added steel beams followed in 1982, and its stone foundation was rehabilitated while its timber roof, siding, and deck were replaced in 2008. The bridge is dedicated to local residents and to the Delaware Nature Society’s Ashland Nature Center and its visitors as a source of inspiration and enjoyment.
