Old Mine Road

Old Mine Road connected Esopus (Kingston) on the Hudson River with the Pahaquarry Copper Mine. About one hundred four miles long, it was built about 1650. The Pahaquarry Copper Mine stood at the southern end of Old Mine Road and was opened by the Dutch about 1650. The Moses Van Campen House, built in 1755, stands one mile north.
