Mount Mohican, also called Raccoon Ridge, is a 1,580-foot peak in the Kittatinny Mountains of northwestern New Jersey, within Worthington State Forest near the Delaware Water Gap. Reached by the Appalachian Trail as it follows the long Kittatinny ridge, it is better understood as a ridge summit than an isolated mountain. Its importance lies chiefly in its landscape and recreational setting rather than in settlement, and its place on the Appalachian Trail makes it a familiar point along one of the United States' best-known long-distance hiking routes.
