Burrage Pond Wildlife Management Area is a protected public landscape in Hanson and Halifax, Massachusetts, spanning 1,625 acres and managed by the Massachusetts Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. Open for hiking, biking, and birding, it also allows hunting except on Sundays. Its terrain is dominated by swampy ground, cedar forest, and old cranberry bogs, including former Bog 18, once described as the biggest in the world. The combination of wetlands and former agricultural land gives the area a distinctive identity as both wildlife habitat and a setting for low-impact outdoor recreation.
