Willington Presbyterian Church was organized by the Rev. Moses Waddel in 1809 and joined the Synod of the Carolinas in 1813. Its building collapsed on July 2, 1939. Its pastors were the Rev. Moses Waddel, D.D., from 1809 to 1819 and from 1830 to 1836; the Rev. R.B. Cater from 1820 to 1826; the Rev. Aaron Foster in 1828; the Rev. Isaac Waddel from 1837 to 1838; the Rev. W.H. Davis from 1839 to 1862 and from 1867 to 1869; the Rev. J.O. Lindsay from 1863 to 1866 and from 1884 to 1889; the Rev. T.H. Law in 1870; the Rev. L.K. Glasgow in 1871; the Rev. R.A. Fair from 1872 to 1874; the Rev. A.L. Miller from 1875 to 1876; the Rev. J.G. Law in 1877; the Rev. E.P. Davis from 1878 to 1883; the Rev. W.K. Boggs from 1890 to 1891; the Rev. Hugh McLees from 1897 to 1898; the Rev. J.G. Henderson from 1900 to 1903 and from 1905 to 1906; and the Rev. J.B. Hillhouse from 1908 to 1913.
