The Gerald D. Coorts Memorial Arboretum is a garden-like arboretum on the campus of Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee. Dedicated in 1997 to honor Dr. Gerald Coorts, a former dean of the university’s College of Agriculture and Home Economics, it serves both as a memorial and as a botanical collection within the campus grounds. Affiliated with the university, it includes more than 150 trees, shrubs, and flowering plants representing about 60 species. Its significance lies in combining commemoration with the educational and landscape purposes of a planted collection in a university setting.
