Mill Rock Point was named for the millstones once carved from layered sandstone at the base of the overlook. The area was known for producing good millstones for early water-powered grist mills when they were in operation. Elevation here is 1660 ft. Overlook elevation is 1620 ft. River elevation is 1030 ft. The overlook is 65 yards.
