The Pinnacle is a mountain viewpoint on Pennsylvania’s Blue Mountain ridge in the Appalachian Mountains and the local high point of the ridge. It is especially well known because the Appalachian Trail crosses it, drawing many hikers to the site. Widely regarded as offering one of the best views in Pennsylvania, it has become a heavily used destination. A local tradition adds to its identity: hikers carry a rock up the trail and place it on a large rock pile behind the overlook.
