Jamestown Settlement was originally dedicated on April 1, 1957, as Jamestown Festival Park for the 350th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown, was renamed Jamestown Settlement in 1990, and was rededicated on the eve of the Jamestown Quadricentennial at its 50th anniversary following completion of a comprehensive facilities master plan carried out between 1997 and 2007. The project involved Boynton Rothschild Rowland, P.C., architect for the Commemorative Plaza; Design and Production, Incorporated, exhibit fabricator for the Jamestown Settlement Galleries; Gallacher and Associates, P.C., exhibit designers for the Jamestown Settlement Galleries; Glave and Holmes Associates, architect for Phases II, III, and IV of the Gallery Complex; Guernesey Tingle Architects, architect for the Riverfront Amenities Area, Shipwright Building, and Maintenance Building; LKPW Architects, LLP, architect for Phase I of the Gallery Complex; Rickmond Engineering, Inc., project designer for the entranceway and parking; and Wilson Moreth Connock LTD for the comprehensive facilities master plan.
