Nature
Rocky Point is a peninsula in Plymouth, Massachusetts, bordering Warren Cove and Plymouth Bay, where Plymouth Bay meets Cape Cod Bay. Land rising from the shore is considered part of the foothills of the Pine Hills. The name also refers to the shoreline neighborhood extending from Route 3A, south of its junction with Plimoth Patuxet Highway, to the Pilgrim Nuclear Generating Station. In 2008, heavy summer rains caused a storm-drain failure on Rocky Hill Road east of Driftwood Lane, creating a 6-foot-wide gully through a downhill property, washing out part of the road, and exposing the foundation of a house above.
