Thunder Mountain is a 7,455-foot summit in the Albion Mountains of southern Idaho, within the Cassia County part of the range and inside Sawtooth National Forest. Located about 2.7 miles southeast of Cache Peak, it is one of the range’s named peaks in a compact highland area where ridges and summits rise sharply above the surrounding country. Its position in a protected national forest places it in a mountain landscape valued for scenery and recreation, while its elevation gives it a notable place among nearby local summits.
