The Wabash Cannonball Trail is made up of two rail lines originally established by the Wabash Railroad that converge in Maumee near Jerome Road. Its North Fork runs east-west for 46 miles from Maumee to within 14 miles of the Indiana state line near Montpelier, Ohio. Its South Fork follows a southwesterly route from Maumee to the edge of Liberty Center, Ohio for 17 miles.
